What is the Workplace Grief Coach Certification Program?

Our training and certification program is designed to equip you with skills, content, and materials that allow you to present the From Grief to Gratitude in the Workplace Workshop to management and supervisory personnel of for-profit and non-profit organizations, healthcare organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and more. The on-site workshop is structured in a 90-minute presentation format.

Mission: To help organizations create a compassionate and grief-informed workplace culture. Since 2017, our From Grief to Gratitude Certified Coaches have helped individuals, families, and communities move from pain to peace, heartbreak to happiness, and grief to gratitude in the shortest time possible. Passionate about the grief-helping profession, Dora Carpenter’s vision is to advocate more for grieving individuals by addressing the misunderstood impact of grief in the workplace. Grief can have significant consequences to an organization in areas of productivity, revenue, absenteeism, safety, turnover, and morale. It is difficult to quantify, but it is estimated that grief accounts for more than $75 billion in loss annually to American revenue, with over $37 billion attributed to death-related grief. Being able to inform, educate, and support management and supervisory staff in this area will have a far-reaching impact on employees and organizations.

The Workplace Grief Certification Program was developed and is facilitated by Dora Carpenter, Certified Professional Coach and Founder of the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching and the From Grief to Gratitude Coach Certification Program, a leading grief coach training program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
