What is the Workplace Grief Coach Certification Program?
What is the Workplace Grief Coach Certification Program?
Our training and certification program is designed to equip you with knowledge, content, and materials that allow you to present the From Grief to Gratitude Workplace Grief Workshop to management and supervisory personnel of for-profit and non-profit organizations, healthcare organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and more. The suggested workshop is designed in a 90-minute presentation format.
Our Mission: To help organizations create a compassionate and grief-informed workplace culture. Since 2017, our From Grief to Gratitude Certified Coaches have helped individuals, families, and communities move from pain to peace, heartbreak to happiness, and grief to gratitude in the shortest time possible. Passionate about the grief-helping profession, Dora Carpenter’s vision is to advocate more for grieving individuals by addressing the misunderstood impact of grief in the workplace. Although difficult to quantify, grief can have significant consequences to an organization in areas of productivity, revenue, absenteeism, safety, turnover, and morale. According to a study done in 2003 by The Grief Recovery Institute, the annual cost of employee grief to U.S. employers was $75 billion and death of a loved one accounted for $37.6 billion alone. It is estimated that the cost now far exceeds $100 billion. Being able to inform, educate, and support management and supervisory staff in this area will have a far-reaching impact on employees and organizations.
The self-directed From Grief to Gratitude Workplace Grief Coach Certification Program was developed and is facilitated by Dora Carpenter, Certified Professional Coach and Founder of the Institute of Professional Grief Coaching and the From Grief to Gratitude Coach Certification Program, a leading grief coach training program accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
